UPDATE: 18 Fantastic Coops on the 2012 Map!

Thank you for your interest in participating in our third annual Tour de Cluck: A Bicycle Chicken Coop Crawl! Being part of this premier community event is a fantastically fun experience. We will select a variety of coops in neighborhoods throughout Davis which exhibit a broad range of construction and design styles, contribute to the presentation of a wide array of chicken breeds and are arranged in proximity to bike paths and each other so that they form accessible “coop loops”. Rest assured, "pretty" is not a requisite criterion! "Practical" is compelling and innovative chicken-keeping solutions are of particular interest!

Your Coop Application must be received by Friday, 2/17/12. The Tour de Cluck Coop Team will review each application and select finalists for a site visit. NOT ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR A SITE VISIT. Coops selected for the 2012 Tour de Cluck will be notified by 3/4/12. An informational meeting for selected participants will be held on 3/14/12, 7:00-8:30 pm.

Special Note: Your completed and submitted Coop Application implies your commitment to create a welcoming and satisfying experience for your coop visitors and to be present and prepared to provide information and answer questions at your coop during the designated visitation hours. We hope you are excited about this unique opportunity to show off your coop and share your enthusiasm for chicken-keeping!

Apparently our online application process is not accepting photos submitted from an iPad. We are working on correcting that glitch.
